Mobile Vapor Combustors (MVC)
GEM MTS's Mobile Vapor Combustors or MVCs offer the latest in VOC and odor destruction technology. Our fleet includes the largest capacity and greatest variety of mobile vapor combustors in the nation.
GEM MTS's fleet complies with local, regional and state air quality management standards for degassing and vapor control of tanks, pipelines and other structures. We have performed unit-specific source testing and have obtained operating approval by regulatory agencies including the TEXAS Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). These units also serve as back-up vapor control for planned or emergency shutdowns of terminal loading racks, tank farms and other structures. Our technology provides state-of-the-art control of petroleum and non-petroleum vapors and odors quickly and efficiently with no interruption of routine client operations. These portable vapor combustion units are highly effective and can be mobilized anywhere for short-term or long-term projects.
Applications
The design incorporated into our portable vapor odor control and systems provide a broad spectrum of capability and safety features that allow GEM MTS to use this equipment for a wide variety of common and unique applications, including:
Degassing
- Tanks
- Pipelines
- Spheres
- Barges
- Railcars
- Terminal Loading Racks
- Tank Farm VRU/VDU Systems Back-up
- Breached/Leaking Tanks
- Nitrogen Purges
- Tank Product Refills/ Change-Outs
- Sludge Processing Vapors
- Super Sucker Exhaust
- Oil Production Wells
- Refinery Processing Equipment
Vapor and Odor Control
Facilities
The applications of these technologies are typically rendered at facilities where the needs can be variable, intermittent, and often without much planning or forewarning. It is for these reasons , that GEM MTS has developed an application package that includes the ability to be completely self-contained or sufficiently flexible to adapt to any level of supplied utilities.
Experience has shown the GEM MTS 's mobile vapor combustors & vapor control services have benefited numerous types of facilities including:
- Petroleum & Chemical Refineries and Terminals
- Tank Farms
- Truck Racks
- Pipeline Right-of-Way
- Marine Vessels/ Railcars
- Power Generation Plants
- Emergency Response Sites
- Other Industrial Facilities
